PropertyTutors appoints new General Manager
Highly-regarded New Zealand property investment tutoring experts, PropertyTutors Ltd, have appointed top real estate agent, trainer and businessman Phil Thompson to the role of general manager for the company nationwide.

Thompson will be based in the Newmarket, Auckland office and takes over from previous general manager Steve Starke who has elected to focus more on his personal investments and musical works after four years in the role.

Sean Wood, PropertyTutors’ Director, says Thompson brings the right blend of experience from corporate management roles, owning his own training company and considerable success in residential real estate as one of New Zealand’s top agents.

Sean also thanks Steve for his very significant contribution to our highly successful, Property Masters Events. This very successful event is on again for the 8th time in May. Thousands of people have had great inspiration and learning experiences because of the fantastic performance of the PropertyTutors crew, as led by Steve.

After various corporate roles, with companies such as Coca-Cola, Phil has been in the real estate industry for over a decade. His career has included the awarding of Elite status as an agent for Ray White, placing him in the top 2 % of agents internationally for the Ray White group, a very significant achievement.

Phils duties include the day to day management of the Auckland business and staff, the strategic oversight of the National operation and the sound delivery of value to all our clients.

Thompson says:

“I am really looking forward to the new challenge that this role brings to my professional career.

“Now with personnel and offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, the PropertyTutors team has done an inspiring job of creating a successful, dynamic and innovative market-leading company which has consistently delivered value and results to their clients.”

PropertyTutors specialises in providing coaching and educating New Zealanders interested in growing their personal wealth through strategic investment in property. The company was established in 2009 by highly-successful property investor Sean Wood who believes that each member of the PropertyTutors’ team should have achieved their own successful outcomes in property investment and be skilled and willing to assist others to achieve similar results.

Thompson adds:

“I’m excited to be able to continue and further grow the momentum that PropertyTutors already has. We have a number of new initiatives to be implemented in coming months, including further implementations in their very successful IT initiatives, for in-the-field use by property investors.

“This company is the clear leader in the property investment industry. We see it is as an on-going responsibility to lead from the front with initiatives which help New Zealanders improve their financial position through property, and that is exactly what we plan to keep doing.”

Alongside the educational resources it provides for clients, PropertyTutors runs seminars such as the upcoming Property Masters events in Auckland and Wellington. These events provide over 10 hours of information and experiential discussion on residential property investing, with Master investors Sean Wood, Steve Goodey, along with international success coach Mr Kurek Ashley, and specialist advisers from Gilligan Rowe & Associates, the Mortgage Supply Co, amonst others. These have proved very popular with hundreds attending and getting great value out of the event.
